I was talking with my friend the other day at my work. We both like to go out after work looking for scrap. We were talking about the best times of day to go. When I go out I see results if I leave around 4pm and not much after 7:30 pm the day before trash pickup. I sometimes go out early the day of, but that's really hit or miss. He says he likes to go for a little bit around lunch time, and thats always served him well. But we didn't get around to talking about weekdays verses weekend. So, I want to know what you guys have to say. What times are the best for the scrappers out there?

Best time is early morning on trash pickup day, because that's when the most scrap is available. 6:30 am.
ReplyDeleteI can't say I don't agree with you, if only to a degree. The problem with leaving at 6 is that one has to race the garbage trucks that start collecting at 6. You may be right, that more is at the curb, but do you actually get home with more scrap than you would otherwise?
